Termite

Habits & Risks
Subterranean Termite (Coptotermes): - They live underground and build mud tubes to access food. - They prefer damp or decaying wood but also consume dry wood and plastics. - This is the most destructive species and can weaken building structures by hollowing out wood from the inside. Drywood Termite (Cryptotermes): - They infest and consume dry wood like furniture, doors, and flooring without needing contact with soil.
Signs of Infestation
Mud tubes (Subterranean), damaged wood (hollowed out from inside), discarded wings (swarmers), frass (tiny, powdery fecal pellets, especially Drywood), small holes in wood (Drywood). It is necessary to take proper steps to protect homes from them.
