Flea

Habits & Risks
Fleas are common pests in Malaysia, thriving in warm, humid conditions. They often enter homes via pets. They feed on the blood of pets and humans, causing skin irritation, allergic reactions, and can transmit diseases. A female can lay 50 eggs per day in carpets and pet fur. They live for 2-3 months, with eggs hatching in 1-10 days.
Signs of Infestation
Pets frequently scratching, biting, or licking themselves; visible adult fleas on pet's fur; 'flea dirt' (small black specks of dried blood) on pets or bedding; itchy red bites on humans, often around ankles and legs.
