German Cockroach (Blattella germanica)

Habits & Risks

Generally nocturnal and prefer warm, moist areas (though Brown-banded prefer drier spots). They spread bacteria, trigger allergies, and contaminate food. Specific habits include: - American Cockroach: Commonly found in drains and commercial kitchens. - German Cockroach: Prefers warm, humid areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Their rapid reproduction makes them difficult to control. - Brown-banded Cockroach: Found in dry, warm areas like inside furniture and electrical appliances. - Oriental Cockroach: Prefers cool, damp areas like basements. They are slow-moving and do not fly.

Signs of Infestation

Droppings resembling black pepper or coffee grounds, strong oily or musty odor, oval-shaped egg cases (oothecae), shed skins, smear marks, damage to food packaging.
